SPORTS MASSAGE & SPORTS THERAPY

Sports massage goes by many different names, including Soft Tissue Therapy, Soft/Deep Tissue Massage and Remedial Therapy.
It is a specialised form of manual therapy aimed at improving the condition of muscles, tendons, ligaments and other soft tissues. These form part of the musculo-skeletal systems which are responsible for structure, stability and movement - all essential for normal movement and physical activity.
Sports Massage can benefit people of all ages and levels of activity, whether the problems experienced are work-related, or from leisure activities which may or may not involve sport.
Although it was originally developed to improve performance and treat sporting injuries, ultimately, Sports massage aims to combat the negative effects of repetitive actions and movements.
These repetitions can lead to muscular imbalances or lead to aches, pains, tension and injuries.
Sports Massage is therefore advantageous to anyone whose daily routine involves repetitive activities such as desk-based work and driving. If you exercise regularly or intensely, Sports massage will also help aid recovery, reduce risk of injury and improve performance.

CORPORATE ON-SITE MASSAGE

Employees who spend the majority of the day sat at a desk or in a car, are often at higher risk of developing musculoskeletal dysfunction and injuries, which can lead to time out of work or reduced productivity. Sickness due to musculo-skeletal problems is one of the largest contributors to workplace absence. Although some muscular pains or injuries are accidental, more often than not, they are preventable through regular soft tissue therapy.
On-site Corporate massage is an extremely cost-effective way for companies to alleviate physical and mental tension at work and is extremely popular with employees.
Massage treatments are easy to perform in the workplace, and by providing short 20-30minute appointments, they can easily fit into employee’s daily schedule.
